Natural History Photography
Natural history through a planetary lens. I photograph Earth as a living system—geology, ocean, and atmosphere shaped by deep time, moving water, and shifting air—and I include the night sky as part of that same story, the stage on which Earth formed and history unfolded. I place images in context with deep time and dynamic Earth processes, from faulted cliffs and ripple marks to storms, swells, and seasonal rhythms. The galleries move from detail to panorama, often paired with field notes and maps, inviting you to read the planet—and the sky around it—for light, structure, and connection. https://youngwoocho.zenfolio.com/

Blog on the Earth System and Space Science 푸른행성의 과학
푸른행성의 과학 links geology, ocean, atmosphere, and astronomy into one Earth-wide narrative. Photo-led posts with brief field notes place each scene in deep time and dynamic planetary processes. Korean-language; organized for learning with articles, photos, Q&A, and teaching resources. http://www.skyobserver.net/

Digital Geosciences
Digital Geoscience applies digital technologies and data science to acquire, process, analyze, and visualize Earth-science data. It spans remote sensing, GIS, photogrammetry, and 3D workflows—including environmental/object modeling, game-engine development, and virtual, augmented, and mixed reality.
Current projects include:
- Remote sensing of land surface, water, and ecosystems
- Visualization with remote sensing, photogrammetry, GIS, and 3D tools
- Interactive Earth and Space Science simulations.
- Active learning through virtual geology experiences
